Women's Resource Agency of Colorado Springs

Get Involved

You can have an impact on the lives of women and families in Colorado:

Make a Donation

Your tax deductible contributions make it possible for us to provide our most services free of charge and provide scholarships for women who cannot afford the low cost of our computer classes and other workshops.

Click here for information on how to donate to our agency.

Volunteer

Do you have talents you could use to help other women become self-sufficient? We are looking for volunteers to:

  • Teach Basic Computer and Microsoft Office Classes

  • Help Students in the Computer Lab

  • Teach Self-Sufficiency Workshops

  • Be a Personal Shopper in our Dress For Success Boutique

Our Clientele consists of women from all walks of life who are in a state of transition, however the majority is low-income, single, separated, or divorced women trying to earn a livable wage.  Many of our clients are in crisis mode and are overwhelmed with life's challenges.  The Women's Resource Agency exists not to overcome obstacles for women, but to help them learn for themselves how to overcome their situations, plan for the future, and become self-sufficient.  Our volunteers should share this goal and balance teaching clients new skills with making them self-reliant. If you are interested in helping, are extremely reliable, caring, patient, and able to work with women whose lives are in transition, call Marcia at 471-3170 for more information.

Mentor

You can be a powerful influence in a young woman's life by giving a few hours of your time as a mentor.  We are looking for career women to be role models for high school InterCept girls through job shadowing or just talking over lunch. Call (719) 471-3170 for more information or email us at reception@wrainc.org .

Advocate for Women and Children

First, if you haven't already, register to vote !  Second, research your candidates and ballot issues and vote.

The election aside, It takes only 10-15 calls/letters/emails to a representative to get his or her attention on an issue.  Your 90 second call could make an incredible impact on the laws affecting families in Colorado and in the Nation.
